Celebrate The 2019 Rugby World Cup With Stock Photos and Vectors

On September 20, 2019, the world will witness one of the greatest sporting events, the Rugby World Cup. This year’s edition will be hosted by Japan, in 12 beautiful cities. This includes the likes of Tokyo, Sapporo and Kobe.

In a day’s time, the world will have the privilege to lend their eyes and ears to crunching tackles, lightning sprints and the mighty Haka. Therefore, it’s a no-brainer for brands out there to jump on the bandwagon and be a part of this occasion.

To help brands achieve this, we’ve compiled a collection of photos and vectors for the Rugby World Cup 2019. This collection features the basics of the sport, to help first-time watchers to understand the game.

First things first, let’s not get confused over American football and rugby. The simplest way to differentiate the two is by looking at the passes made during a match. The former throws the ball forward, while the latter only allows for passes made behind the ball carrier. Additionally, rugby players don’t wear helmets and shoulder pads.

Another key component of the rugby, is the scrum. Put simply, there’s no running away from this during a game, which lasts for 80 grueling minutes. In the end, the team which has the most points wins the match, with a try (not a touchdown) being the best way to rack up those points.

This year’s edition consists of 20 teams, split into 4 pools. While Ireland are the top-ranked side of the tournament, we’ve got our bets firmly placed on the All Blacks.
