June marks the start of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month. The month was held to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan, which served as the key moment for the Gay Rights Movement.
While there has been plenty of efforts of late to provide a better representation of the world we live in, the LGBTQ community have often found themselves to be marginalized.
