Imagine if you can pair fonts just like how you pair your OOTDs (outfit of the day). Just like how style and mood is often considered when it comes to fashion, font pairings can also be matched in the same manner. Whether it is a modern 21st century feel, eccentric for a unique take, or minimal and polished, there are so many ways to make fonts work in any project.
Google web fonts are not something new but has been sidelined by classics like Arial and Times New Romans. After being challenged by her partner to “make Google fonts work”, Reliable PSD co-founder Lou Levit has curated this beautiful typographic cheat sheet consisting of 50 Google web font pairings. We love combing through this sheet with quotes from world-renowned designers set against gorgeous classical art backdrops.
We have Levit to thank for this creative ensemble as she breaks free from comfort zones and aims to “try something we thought we’d never like”. To her, how fonts are used are just as important, if not more so, than the fonts themselves.
Designers of all styles, we hope you’ll find your creative breakthrough!
Here are some of our favorite pairings from the cheat sheet. Feel free to click here to view all 50 matches from the collection.
